The Apprentices Act, 1961 was presented in the Parliament and came into effect from 1st January, 1963. The main objective of the Apprentices Act, 1961 is to meet the rising need for proficient craftsman. Through the Act, the Government proposes to use the infrastructure, space and provisions at the industry location for instruction and training of apprentices and to ensure that their preparation is concurring with the intended program.
